Chhab is Union Council of Tehsil Jand & District Attock. Which is situated in South West of Potohar Plateau. Weather of Chhab area is mostly dry with moderate to low rain except in Moon Soon Season. Therefore Chhab area has an arid agriculture system, no irrigation system due to the terrain. Moreover wheat is the one crop that is usually harvested. In Summer day time temperature got sweltering hot with the high thirties from May to August. While in winter weather remain chilling cold after dusk from December to February.

Saghri Khattak Pashtun is the majority clan of the area. Chhab union council has a large are. Therefore, a few years back another union council named Dakni was established by splitting the UC Chhab into two parts.

Railroad Traffic Route

Multan to Rawalpindi, Mari Indus to Attock, and Karachi to Peshawar are three routes that remain operated throughout the year. All three of these trains have stops at Chhab Railway Station. In addition Rawalpindi to Multan (Mehr Express) stops right after sunset. So local youth started to serve free cold water, beverages, to the train passenger & staff during the Holy month of Ramadan.
