Death is Imminent, But Disability is Not

He was working as I.T executive in our office, in his early twenties with an attitude problem. A person who merely listens to any advice, though I had developed a good understanding with him but have never tried to cross his comfort zone.

Recently he bought a motorcycle after an year long savings. Like other young guys he use to drive in high speed, ignoreing friends & senior colleagues advice about his our speeding and to drive carefully on road.

I never talk to him about it due to no use to it. Until once, when he had an accident and  received some scratches & bruises. I felt, this is right time to talk to him, before he get some major & serious injuries. I already  knew about his personality, his behavior ans attitude so I need to be precise and to the point so he can listen to the advice carefully.

On Next day, when he was in good mood I asked him how this accident happened. He narrated the scenario that he was driving in high speed when an unexpected turn from a vhicle infront block my way and could not stop the bike in time to avoid the collision. Keeping his attention I said;

“Look brother people often say you drive motorcycle unnecessarily in high speed which can be dangerous for you. I know that you say each & everyone have to die atlast so don’t need to worry about it."

No one can deny this, but think of a situation that one couldn't die in an accident but receive some major injuries, causes to lose his limb leaving him disabled for life,  then what ?

If that person have to live a life of 65 years while losing his body parts at the age of 23-24 years. Can you imagine life of next many years with that Disability?
Yes, death is imminent. Each & everyone have to die eventually. But disability is not. It is not destined to everyone of us. At least we can take care of ourselves and hope for the best. Almighty ALLAH will protect us from all harms.

So drive carefully, obey traffic rules, stay in controlled speed limit so that you have more time to control your vehicle when someone else has not on their's“

I left him to think about it. Pleasantly he changed his arrogance, within a month, people rumoring about his over speeding reduced to nil.

Now he is a restrained driver on road. It is good to know that my words helped him on safety first method.
