Rawal Lake Bani Gala

It was a nice sunny day in Islamabad & weather was comfortable. I visited Rawal Lake Bani Gala along with my siblings. I was shocked to see the area which is right across the the Lake View Park on Muree Road.

Few years back there was some refreshment center and floating restaurant were established there. But it was a failed experiment and now it is gone. 

There is an obvious reason of non profitability due to not enough visitor to this side. But some said the reason behind its failure is insecurity and that is because of visitors with families were mistreated by the locals boys at night. This decreases its visitors after sunset. Despite the fact that increase in businesses activity at this point will be profitable for the local people who can get jobs and start their own business as well.

In spite of the failure, it is still a good area to visit during day time. Many people ca be seen fishing including amateur, professional fishermen and also families spend their time enjoying fishing here. 

Quite a number of visitors with family increases as the day pass. Boating can also be enjoyed including paddle boat but not enough safety measure. You will see some visitors bring their edibles with them and enjoy it on wooden benches with slabs which are placed few in numbers. Some people also enjoy barbecue (BBQ) under shaded area of trees. Small portion of Paved area and Trail can also be found here. 

In my view it is a nice peaceful place to visit with friends & family for a shirter period of time on Weekend.
